WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS:
WELCOME! We are glad you came to worship today at First United Methodist Church, and we cordially invite you to return
and worship with us whenever possible.
THE WORSHIP COMMITTEE reminds everyone that the ringing of the chimes as the acolytes process into the sanctuary is a
signal for all of us to prepare our hearts for worship.
SILENT PRAYER TIME: Scott would like to invite anyone who wants to pray for our church, community, family, nation, and
other needs, to meet in the church parlor at 9:20am each Sunday morning. He would like for us to spend 15 minutes in prayer
before Sunday School. It will be a time of silent prayer and you will not be called upon to pray out loud. The Lord will bless
our church us as we seek Him in prayer.
OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY is extended to the family of Mrs. Billie Stroupe following her death on February 20.
ASH WEDNESDAY is Wednesday, March 1, and is the beginning of the season of Lent in the church year. In observance of
this day, we will have a special worship service led by our drama team that evening at 7:00pm.
JOYFUL TRAVELERS DEAD SEA SCROLLS. If you are interested in going to see the Dead Sea Scrolls in March, please sign up
on the sheet. The tickets have to be purchased for a certain date and time, so I was wanting to check on Monday, March 20th,
between 10am-2pm. If you think you would be interested in this trip, please sign up on the sheet outside the church office.
WE WELCOME Gary and Deborah Husen into our church membership today. They join us by transfer of membership from First
UMC, Perrysburg, OH. Gary and Deb live at 147 North Shore Drive, Cherryville. Welcome!
